Castles - How to check the version installed on device
CTMS Mobile Application
The CTMS mobile application (Castles Terminal Management Server) allows you to connect to the server provided by the payment terminal manufacturer to download mobile applications (including the PayXpress payment application) and perform remote updates (scheduled or on-demand).
As an example, the files and applications downloaded and installed by CTMS will be displayed in the middle of the screen as shown below (red box area).
Additionally, by pressing the menu icon (…) in the top-right corner of the screen, CTMS provides functions allowing users to:
Filter/sort downloaded applications by different characteristics, including “time,” “date,” and “name.”
Force the download of mobile applications from the TMS “Update Now”
View downloaded but not installed applications “Waiting for Install”
View the different events performed by the CTMS mobile application “Log Status”

Finally, in the bottom-right corner of the screen, there is a “Status” icon. By pressing the icon, users can display the current status of the terminal, as shown below.
Check the PayXpert version installed on the POS
Check for the presence of the PayXpress application in CTMS, then verify the installed version.
For example, in the screenshot below, the detected version is 4.10.3.1-gaetan, with an installation date of Dec 16, 2025 at 08:25.
