What information appears on a card payment receipt?

When a customer pays by card using a payment terminal (TPE), the printed receipt contains a series of codes and data that may seem cryptic at first glance.

Each receipt follows a standardized format defined by the GIE Carte Bancaire. While some fields are customizable (like the merchant name or welcome message), most are fixed and automatically generated by the terminal.
