PayXpert - User documentation
Admin PIN for sensitive areas and actions
The Admin PIN secures the sensitive areas of the app and prevents unwanted navigation away from the PayXpress payments.
Accessing the Main menu items
Depending on configuration, an Admin PIN may be needed to go inside a main menu item, like:
Settings
Transaction history
This is helpful when the POS terminal is shared by several employees, because these areas are restricted to the persons in charge.
Accessing the Android system
The Android functionalities of the POS device can be restricted to Admins as well. This will prevent unwanted navigation away from the app, as could happen if a shopper or employee accidentally tries to leave the screen during the payment workflow.
There are two different Android areas to consider:
Navigation bar (bottom)
The bottom bar can be disabled entirely or protected by the Admin PIN. This will prompt a PIN to be entered in order to indeed navigate backwards off the payment screen.

Custom with PIN
Status bar (top)
The status bar at the top of the Android screen can be expandable or not:
Status bar drop-down enabled
Status bar drop-down disabled
How to enable
